The Bailey Family

We have been building Bailey leisure vehicles here in South Bristol since 1948 and are now very much part of the local community.

The majority of our employees live nearby and have been with us for a long time (average length of service is actually 10 years). As result, our workforce possesses the necessary skill and experience to successfully produce a complex range of caravans, motorhome and campervans in the same plant.

Whilst our core business is Manufacturing (with around 80% of our employees involved in actually building our leisure vehicles) we also have a diverse range of office based opportunities in key areas such as: Engineering, Procurement, Design, Aftercare, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources.

Who are Bailey?

Founded in 1948, Bailey of Bristol is the longest established UK independent caravan manufacturer with over 75 years’ experience in leisure vehicle production and design. During this period, our family-owned business has grown to become not only the Nation’s Favourite brand accounting for approximately one-in-three new caravan sales, but also now one of the largest in Europe.

In 2011 the company successfully introduced this same level of expertise to the UK motorhome market, as well as expanding is operations into new export markets as far afield as South Korea and New Zealand. Then most recently, in 2023, as part of our 75th anniversary celebrations we began production of the Bailey Endeavour, our first ever campervan range.

Charitable Donations

As one of the largest employers in South Bristol it’s important to us that we play our part in supporting our local community.

Consequently, since the start of 2022 we have been allocating a fixed amount from the profit of each from every caravan, motorhome and campervan we build into a Charity & Community fund to support both local and national causes.

To help us allocate these funds, we formed a Charity & Community Committee, which features team members from across the business, to put this important decision-making process in the hands of our employees
