Working From Home-From-Home
Connected Explorers
Recently, I wrote about myself and Bex’s camping trip to some of the culturally attractive cities in Northern Europe. We visited art galleries, the opera, and architectural centres of Belgium and Germany, all the while camping inside the city limits in the new Bailey Endeavour B62. After a week, Bex flew home, but for me, the journey did not stop there; I had filming commitments for a new National Geographic series.

Campervanning in France: A Month in the Mediterranean
Easygoing Adventurers Tailored Retreats
As the nights draw in and the weather cools, many of us are either planning winter escapes to sunnier climes or warming ourselves with thoughts of travel plans for 2025. If you’re a fan of France, campervan travel and simple, easy holidays, our recent trip might offer some inspiration.

Campervan vs. Motorhome: Which is Right for You?
Connected Explorers Easygoing Adventurers Tailored Retreats
Choosing between a campervan and a motorhome depends on many things, including your lifestyle and travel needs. Each offers unique advantages and potential compromises, so it’s essential to understand what you want from your home from home.

High Culture in Europe in the new Endeavour B62 – Part 2

Our next stop was Brussels, the capital of Belgium and a short drive away. Like Bruges, the inner city of Brussels is well-preserved and dates from the period 11th-17th Century. There is only one campsite within the city, a pilot scheme set up by the local council. It is currently a secure car park with no amenities. However, having won a European Travel Award for the scheme, the plan is to enhance and expand it.

Camping. The Great Outdoors. Green open space, sturdy walking boots, rugged trousers, and hardy waterproofs. A typical image when one thinks of time away camping. However, one tends to think less of the high culture associated with camping—fine wines, art galleries, sculptures, the ballet or opera, or the Philharmonic. Dinner Jackets and Evening Gowns rather than raincoats and woolly hats.

Festival Camping Made Simple

When it comes to experiencing a festival, there’s no better way than camping. It allows you to fully immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere, catch your favourite bands, and enjoy exciting acts, engaging shows, thought-provoking talks, and thrilling activities—all while living on-site. However, you don’t have to endure the harsh conditions I once embraced in my youth. This is especially crucial when you’re working at the festival, as I did several times this year.

Convenient Camping: Your Guide to Hassle-Free Outdoor Adventures Description

In the UK, our motorways are frustratingly not well equipped to support campers compared to Europe (more on Europe later). Not only will you incur a charge after 2 hours, usually over £25, but the sparse motorway services also offer little in the way of charging, water, or disposal services.

Extreme Camping: Motorhoming to the Sahara Desert

Luxury Camping -The Best Campsite in Europe?
Connected Explorers Easygoing Adventurers Tailored Retreats
If you’re reading this blog, the chances are you’ve already realised that the idea of camping doesn’t have to mean ‘roughing it’. Washing dishes in a bowl, cooking on a minuscule stove, sleeping on bare rock and going to the toilet in a patch of brambles is nonsense. Our Adamo motorhome is more luxurious than the hotels I find myself in for work, but campsites can be limited in their facilities!

The Mobile Adventure Base

I am more often writing about how I use my Adamo 75-4 DL motorhome for family adventures, from canoe in Wales, sea-side excursions in Cornwall or five-star luxury getaways in France. However, I spend most of my time in the Adamo alone.
