What is the best 6 berth motorhome to buy?

The Autograph 81-5 gives families plenty of room with its front and rear lounges and also makes a great motorhome for couples who want a bit more space and room for the occasional guests.

Bear in mind when considering a motorhome that larger motorhomes will also often be heavier and what you can drive depends on your licence.

If you passed your driving test before 1st January 1997, you will usually have had the C1 entitlement added to your licence automatically and can drive vehicles up to 7500 kg. If you passed your driving test on or after 1st January 1997, then your licence will usually only cover categories B and B1, meaning you will only be able to drive a vehicle up to 3500kg.

If you don’t have the C1 entitlement, you can take an additional test to have this added so you can drive a heavier motorhome up to 7500 kg.

Check your licence to confirm what entitlements you have before considering the motorhome you would like to drive.

The Camping and Caravanning Club have a useful page with information on licences, including what you need to do when you reach 70 to keep the C1 entitlement.
