Bailey Shines at the 2026 Practical Awards

Three models were named category winners: the Phoenix Black 640, the Pegasus Black Bologna and the Autograph 81-5, and a further five models were Highly Commended across Bailey caravan, motorhome and campervan categories.

Phoenix Black 640 – Best 4 Berth Caravan

The Phoenix Black 640 was praised for offering a spacious family layout while remaining highly towable. Practical Caravan noted that it “still comes in with an MTPLM of just 1,438kg” and can be pulled by “a relatively normal tow car” such as a Skoda Superb Estate.

They also highlighted the redesigned washroom door that “you can swing forward to gain more access to the comfortable island bed” and the new cloth window surrounds which “make everything look a bit more modern”.

Pegasus Black Bologna – Best Caravan for Seasonal Pitches

The Pegasus Black Bologna impressed as a strong option for seasonal touring. Practical Caravan described it as “a more budget-friendly prospect” with an L shaped lounge and a new L shaped kitchen that offer more space for relaxing and cooking.

They also praised the updated bedroom, noting that the new bedside tables feel “just as you would at home” and that the relocated wardrobe is “more practical than it ever was with two wardrobes”.

Autograph 81-5 – Best Rear Lounge Motorhome

The Autograph 81-5 was recognised for its bright and spacious rear lounge layout. Practical Motorhome said, “the lounge at the back feels very roomy and airy” and highlighted the generous specification that includes a SONOS portable speaker, Alde heating, twin leisure batteries and a 200-watt solar panel.

They concluded that those looking for a rear lounge motorhome “won’t go far wrong with the Bailey Autograph 81-5”.
