Why choose a 4 berth campervan

A 4 berth campervan from Bailey gives you space that is versatile.

Whether you’re travelling with your family, friends or even with pets, these campervans give you a place to sit, relax, eat and rest your head.

With built in features like kitchens, washrooms, and even solar panels to charge your devices in rural areas, they are perfect for your next adventure while being compact and easy to drive.

The Bailey Endeavour range

Campervans in the Bailey Endeavour range are flexible and durable, so you are ready for anything throughout your trip.

Each model in the range comes with a washroom that includes a sink, toilet and shower, and a fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, fridge-freezer and sink. The washroom uses a tambour door, which slides to give more floorspace to the washroom when you are inside, and more floorspace to the kitchen when the washroom is not in use.

Beds are either constructed from the seating inside the campervan, pulled down over a rear garage, or inside a pop-top on the roof.

All Endeavour campervans have a 165bhp engine with automatic transmission.

The 4 berth Endeavour campervans

The Endeavour range has two 4 berth campervans, the B64 and the B65.

Both models feature a pop-top roof that includes a double bed, complete with mattress, reading lights and opening rooflight.

The B64 lounge can be made up into a double bed downstairs if not using the pop-top, and two singles with a ladder in the middle if the pop-top is in use.

The B65 has a raised folding rear double bed complete with a sprung mattress, an adjustable back support and a retractable step ladder. The second double bed is again in the pop-top with ladder access from the front of the lounge.

Other features included in the Endeavour range help make it suitable for off-grid adventures and include a 100W solar panel, Truma Diesel Combi heating and hot water system and Grade 3 Classification for heating and thermal insulation.

The Endurance campervan range

The Endurance campervan range has a more rugged, hard-core design and are a ready-for-action base for every trip. Ideal for those who enjoy adventure and exploring the outdoors, but also want a comfortable vehicle to come back to that can transport and store your outdoor kit.

The two campervans in the Endurance range are built as two berth campervans, but with the addition of a TentBox, they can be extended to a 4 berth campervan with access to the upper bed from a ladder at the back of the van. This is a great option for families where teenage children might want their own space, or for couples who might want a 2 berth campervan day to day, but have the option to have extra family or guests along on occasion.

The E62 has a rear lounge that can be converted into two single beds or a large double, and the E65 has a raised folding rear double bed the same as the B65. The B65 has a rear garage area under the bed space with a metal floor tread and floor mounted lashing rings, easy access underbed storage cupboards and cubby holes. A cold water shower point is also located in the rear garage area so you can wash down bikes, boards and other outdoor equipment before storing it back in the campervan.

The E62 has two travel seats, so additional transport would be required for any guests using the TentBox. The E65 has four travel seats, so four people are able to travel in the campervan with two using the TentBox or alternative accommodation.

Campervan FAQs

How does a campervan 4 berth model compare to other sizes for comfort and space?

All Bailey campervans are built on a Ford Transit base and are just under 6 metres long and just over 2 metres wide (just under 2.5m if you include the wing mirrors).

When compared to Bailey motorhomes (our other motorised vehicles), Bailey campervans have washrooms, kitchens, lounge and bedrooms and garage space, the same as many of our motorhomes, but the size of the vehicle is more compact and some will find this easier to drive and manoeuvre. 4 berth models with a pop-top add extra space to the vehicle with an additional double bed in the roof, and a wind-out awning on all models gives extra undercover outdoor space.

In the Endurance range, a TentBox can also be added for extra accommodation on the roof of the campervan.

Are there any 4 berth campervans suited for off-grid camping or wilderness exploration?

Campervans in the Endurance range are a great choice for going off-grid at sites where there is no electrical hook-up or you are mid-adventure during the day at locations like beaches, walking trails, moors or mountains.

The Truma Diesel Combi heating and hot water system runs off the diesel in your tank, so there is no need for a separate gas bottle (although there is space for one if you want to take one along for BBQs etc). This system will not allow your tank to run dry so you will always have enough diesel left to get to a fuel station when the tank is running low.

For electricity off-grid, there is a 130 watt lightweight solar panel that can top up your two leisure batteries when a hook-up is not available.

Other features that help make life off-grid more convenient include a 100 litre fresh water tank, an exterior BBQ point, an exterior cold water shower point for hosing down kit, and a full washroom that includes a sink, shower and toilet.

All the campervans in the Endurance range also have Grade III Classification for heating and thermal insulation which means that these campervans can comfortably be used all year round and still remain warm and comfortable.

How many people can sleep in a 4 berth campervan

4 berths means 4 sleeping spaces, and the different layouts of the Bailey campervan ranges means that there are a number of options available.

The Endeavour B64 has a front lounge that can be made up into two single beds with a double bed in the pop-top above.

The Endeavour B65 has a folding double bed above a garage space at the back with a second double bed in the pop-top.

The Endurance E62 is a 2 berth with a rear lounge that can be made into a double or two singles, but can be increased to a 4 berth by adding a TentBox to the roof.

The Endurance E65 is also a 2 berth with a folding double bed over the garage at the rear, but can again be increased to a 4 berth with the addition of a TentBox.

How many bedrooms does a 4 berth campervan have

Bailey campervans don’t have a bedroom as such as they are converted from Ford Transit panel vans and all the facilities are contained in one space. To create sleeping spaces, the lounges in each van convert into single or double beds or else there is a folding double bed at the back of the van above a garage and storage space.

In Endeavour 4 berth models, a pop-top opens in the roof that contains a double mattress to add the extra 2 sleeping spaces.

In the Bailey Endurance range, both models are designed as 2 berth campervans but can be extended to 4 berth campervans with the addition of a TentBox to sleep two that can be accessed from a ladder on the outside of the vehicle. This is great for teenagers in the family who might want their own space.
